How about the historical สุขาภิบาล, and the สภาตำบล? And in an history of Ht Yai I also found a structure named "Chumchon" (don't know Thai spelling), maybe that should be included as well. And additionally to the monthon it also had บริเวณ. There also were vice-royals (don't know the Thai name) above the monthon 192x-1933. In my opinion,

• Chumchon (ชุมชน) should be corresponding to "community" in english (probably unofficial).
• "บริเวณ" seems to be a common word depicting an area.
• "vice-royal" might refer to ประเทศราช (Tributary) where viceroy (อุปราช) is the representative of king.

Chumchon seem to be the official subdividision of the thesaban, as the Excel-Sheets at oncb.go.th list both the muban and the chumchon of all provinces. Another entity I have come across is the สาขาตำบล, which I found in the population data of dopa.go.th (e.g. กาญจนบุรี 2542) till 2545, but cannot find any real information on that one either. แอนดี้ 16:10, 19 มกราคม 2007 (UTC)
